We had a great day on Saturday – please see previous posts for why.
Out Secretary, Linda, reports:
‘On Saturday 22nd June, at the Ridings Shopping Centre, we were calling for a peaceful election in Zimbabwe, and asking people to sign 5 letter. The letters are to be sent to the London embassies of the 5 neighbouring countries, all are members of SADC (South African Development Community).
We had a very pleasant day and now have 40 letters to send to each embassy. We also have a wonderful collection of children’s pictures to send to the President of Mozambique, the chair of SADC.
Again, we will asking for him to support peaceful election and to pass the children’s pictures of support to a children’s organization or school in Zimbabwe.
Thank you to all who helped and supported this event.’
Indeed, a big “thank you” to all who played their part. Live in hope. Always.
