MOHAMMAD BARRABGI and The Art House
EASTERN BIRD
Join Iranian born, Wakefield based illustrator and printmaker Mohammad Barrangi Fashtani for a workshop inspired by his exhibition WONDERLAND at Wakefield Cathedral.
Using the words ‘easern bird’ as the starting point for the workshop, Mohammad will guide participants through his own unique printing method, combining a traditional Eastern style of illustration with laser photocopying, collograph, and collage techniques.
Patterns, like those found on Persian rugs, will be layered over simple drawings of birds to bring them to life, then transferred onto cards to create your own unique piece of art.
All materials will be provided and no previous experience is required. We recommend that participants bring an apron or old t-shirt to protect their clothes during the workshop.
